Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

It’s great when you bring together history and fiction. I always thought this was a Chinise and Japanese thing. Since Hero is one of my favourite film I was eager to experience the Western version of this legend stuff.

Boy, I was not disappointed. I was afraid because seeing the trailer I got too excited and my friends had to splash me with ice-cold water, saying it was going to be a horribly boring film. I respect them for their goal was nobel.

So I started watching the film with mixed feelings. I kept watching it with mixed feelings. I also finished it with, yes you guessed it right, mixed feelings.

I admired the storyline for its freshness but everything was a bit dull for some reason.

I can’t figure out the reason though.

I believe I have been an adult for a while now and already had my share of films. So I believe that ruins my new-film-experiences.

I need more now, much more. Beside my strong desire to rule the world, Abe Lincoln is a bit shallow.

Yet, I can’t complain. I just put this film into my “Let’s watch it again some time” archive.

Oh, and I just LOVED the axe (with the surprise gun in it). 😀
