Google Drive vs. Dropbox

For some reason Google Drive goes into a neverending loop and freezes on a Pentium 4 machine with Windows XP.

On a Core2Duo PC it purrs like an excavator. 🙂

I have to be honest. I only use it because it gives me additional storage beside Dropbox. I use it for teaching because I can upload my videos to it and share it quite easily.

Also with the whole Google Docs thingy it gives me an easy way to work on my projects which require co-operation throughout the planet. With any other things I use Dropbox. It runs on all my old and new computers it uses less processor time and for some reason it feels better.

Maybe if I started with Google Drive first… I’m not sure.

So the battle between the two keeps on going and it never seems to end. 🙂

Oh, I tried SkyDrive but gave up testing it in a very early stage when it turned out it does not support Windows XP. I have a company, I need valid operating systems. I can’t afford to upgrade just for the sake of one online storage.

Both Google Drive and Dropbox can be used on multiple operating systems. Poor Skydrive… never had a chance. 🙂
